It depends on how you define rewarding. If you mean personally and financially rewarding, then the best business that YOU can start up is in something that you are good at AND passionate about.



I've started a couple of part-time businesses that were moderately successful and then I decided to close them. The reason was because I realized I wasn't passionate about what I was selling. Because I lacked the passion, I lacked the energy and motivation to sustain the businesses. It just wasn't worth it.



However, now I have a clear idea of what I want to do and I use this as my filter to choose my projects. I find that it is easy to pursue the things I love and that opportunities materialize effortlessly.
